Two warrants have been issued for hip hop star DMX after he failed to appear at separate court hearings earlier this week.
DMX was due to appear at New York’s White Plains City Court on Tuesday to answer charges of speeding, changing lanes dangerously, driving without a seat belt and using a suspended license.
The following day, he failed to show up at New York’s Yonkers City Court to face another charge of driving with a suspended license.
DMX, real name Earl Simmons, had been given until 2pm on Wednesday to appear in court by White Plains Judge Brian Hansbury. After he failed to appear, a warrant was issued.
Yonkers Judge Charles Wood also issued a warrant on the same day.
DMX’s lawyer said: "In truth, I do not know where he is. Why would he be hiding out from a damn traffic infraction?"
