A member of British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s private legal team has been cleared after being accused of stealing a secret Government file on rapper Eminem.
Cops found the file on the hip hop star when they raided Nicholas Smart’s home.
The Crown Prosecution Service considered charging Eminem for inciting fans to take drugs during his UK tour in 2001, but the file should have been destroyed as no action was taken against the star.
Smart, who used to work for the CPS, denied theft. He told London’s Crown Court he took the file home by accident and was too scared to return it.
