Steve Irwin's widow Terri says she's still adjusting to being a single parent after her Crocodile Hunter husband was killed by a stingray last September.
"It's extremely difficult," Irwin told People Magazine. "Part of me is still waiting for the day that he walks through the door. "We have so much footage of Steve and we watch it so it's like we almost get to see him every day. The kids and I have good days and bad, but you just deal with it as it comes."
She and Steve had two children, Bindi, 8, and Bob, 3, and Irwin says her husband is still very much a presence in their lives.
Of being a single mom, Irwin said: "Parenthood is a great equalizer. It doesn't matter how famous you are – once you become a parent you are just like everyone else."
The popular TV host was accidentally killed by a stingray barb while filming a documentary off the coast of Australia.
