Controversial talk show host Rosie O'Donnell is leaving "The View" in June. The official word is that there was no wiggle room in contract negotiations... which means, in other words, .. she was fired.
Rosie said: "This has been an amazing experience, and one I wouldn't have traded for the world. Working with Barbara, Joy and Elisabeth has been one of the highlights of my career, but my needs for the future just didn't dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me."
Rosie's departure comes the day after making a fool of herself in front of 2,000 of New York's most accomplished women in media at a luncheon Monday. She was at the Matrix Awards at the Waldorf-Astoria Grand Ballroom when she decided to let loose her opinions about everything.
O'Donnell dropped more than a dozen F-bombs, grabbed her crotch, yelled "Eat me!" to Donald Trump, insulted media mogul Rupert Murdoch and said a few other shocking things. Even Barbara Walters had to hang her head in shame at the display.
"She's disgusting," said the Donald later giving his opinion for why Rosie is leaving the View. "She was fired. She's an embarrassment, the ratings on the show were the best they were going to be when she was fighting with me."
