Veteran rocker Rod Stewart is devastated that his "only talented child" Ruby, is lacking the drive and hunger to achieve success. The 62-year-old singer, who has seven children with five women, says his 19-year-old daughter is content just driving around in her Land Rover.
Stewart, 62, told Britain's Daily Record, "Ruby seems to be the only one of my children who has some kind of singing talent."
"But unlike me when I started, she's not hungry at all, unfortunately. She lives with me, drives a big Land Rover and has everything she wants.
"She's just 19 but she doesn't burn for anything. But it's precisely that hunger that you need, that ambition to go out and make it. Without it, you won't succeed."
"She wants to take singing lessons but I told her: 'You'll never be an opera singer. So you don't need singing lessons. Rock 'n' roll comes from inside.'
"After music, the most important values are honesty and manners. I always tell my son, good manners will open a lot of doors." Stewart's kids are Sarah, 42, Kimberly, 27, Sean, 26, Ruby, 19, Renee, 15, Liam, 12, and baby son Alastair Wallace Stewart was born on November 27, 2005.
