Who is the craziest rock star of all time? Ozzy, Izzy, Bonham, Keith Moon, Morrison, Rob Zombie, Sid Vicious? Nah, it will always be Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, who recently claimed to have snorted his pop's ashes mixed with cocaine:
"The strangest thing I've tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father," Richards, 63, is quoted as saying by the British music magazine NME.
"He was cremated," recalls Richards of father Bert, who died at 84 in 2002, "and I couldn't resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow. My dad wouldn't have cared."
Describing the moment, the musician says, "It went down pretty well, and I'm still alive."
If the story is true, it just adds to Keith's legend, and if not - then it will still be passed down as an urban legend.
Richard's manager Jane Rose later told.com that the guitarist's comments were "said in jest. [He] can't believe anyone took it seriously."
