"The Tudors" star Jonathan Rhys Meyers has checked himself into an unamed rehab clinic for alcoholism.
His spokesperson told People magazine yesterday: “After a non-stop succession of filming, Jonathan Rhys Meyers has entered an alcohol-treatment program. He felt a break was needed to maintain his recovery.”
The 29-year-old Dublin native just wrapped "August Rush" with Robin Williams and Terrence Howard, and is next set to film "Bronte" with Michelle Williams, and Danny Glover's "Toussaint" alongside Don Cheadle.
The Irish heartthrob's representative adds: "Jonathan plans to resume his schedule following completion."
