It's a Girl for Melanie Brown, and Maybe Eddie Murphy

Melanie BrownMelanie Brown, formerly known as Scary Spice, gave birth early this morning to a baby girl. According to reports, she drove herself to a Santa Monica hospital after her water broke at home. The British pop star claims the baby was fathered by movie star Eddie Murphy, whose been saying for months that the baby isn't his.

The baby girl weighed in at 5 lbs., 4oz. She was born at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California.

Brown's rep, Nadine Bibi, said, "Baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair. Mother and baby are now resting. No name has been decided on as yet, and is purely known as Baby Brown!"
