Angelina Jolie and her brother James Haven think of themselves as orphans following the death of their mother recently, despite their father Jon Voight still being alive.
James says Angelina adopts parentless children because she can empathise with them because of her experiences with their dad.
"There were times when our father was awesome but my biggest memory is that he would look more to our faults than to our strengths, and that’s what was so hard,” he says.
"Now that our mother has died we’re two orphans, Angie and I, so she has a deep understanding of the orphans she adopts."
Angelina and partner Brad Pitt have three adopted children; Zahara Marley, 2, Pax Thien,3, and Maddox, 5. As well as a biological child, Shiloh Nouvel, 10 months.
