Hip Hop star Snoop Dogg has been denied a visa to perform a series of British concerts, his tour publicist has revealed.
The rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was expected to perform five concerts with Diddy, including at London’s Wembley Arena.
"Snoop and his team are mystified at the decision and are hoping that the British government will reconsider this decision," Snoop’s spokesperson said in a statement.
"He has asked how he can help rectify the situation and would happily talk to and give assurances to the officials."
Tuesday’s concert at Wembley Arena will go ahead, with or without Snoop Dogg.
A Home Office spokesperson couldn’t comment on the individual case but said: "The Home Secretary has the power to refuse entry clearance to non-U.K. citizens if he considers that their presence here would not be conducive to the public good."
Snoop was arrested along with five other men last April on charges of violent disorder and starting a brawl. He spent the night in prison after a fight erupted when some of his entourage were denied entry to Heathrow Airport’s first class lounge.
The rapper was previously barred from entering Britain in May last year.
