Patrick Dempsey, who plays Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy, proudly shows his twin sons Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen to the world. The proud father says his role on the show helped him during their birth on February 1.
Despite playing a doctor on TV, Dempsey says being in the operating room cutting the cords after the delivery "was a bit surreal."
Dempsey and his wife Jillian also have a five-year-old daughter, Talula, but he admits he needed to be reminded how to look after infants. "I think sometimes he forgets that when babies are first born, they don't have any neck muscles and I'm like, 'Whoa! Baby head wobbling down to your feet!'" Julian told People magazine.
Dempsey claims he's also had to learn a new procedure when it comes to diaper duty for boys. He adds, "That's a whole different technique!"

All the best to him. He looks as happy as I was 15 years ago when my twin boys were born. Quite the thrill, to say the least.
