Filming was stopped for Kate Hudson’s new movie after a deadly jellyfish was spotted on set in Australia.
Hudson was shooting 'Fool’s Gold' with Matthew McConaughey in Queensland when an Irukandji jellyfish, described as one of the most deadly creatures alive, turned up.
"We have a marine expert to ensure everyone's safe and he found the jellyfish," Hudson's rep said.
"It's an unusual problem to come across. Only in Australia, I suppose."
The venomous jellyfish’s sting, to which there is no antidote, can severe pain and a potentially fatal rise in blood pressure.
Hudson and McConaughey have returned to the US until the movie’s final scenes can be re-scheduled.
The movie is due in theatres early next year.
