Troubled pop singer George Michael will be hit with an extra charge at drugs trial, a court heard yesterday.
Michael, whose real name is George Panayiotou, was charged with being unfit to drive through drugs and cautioned for cannabis possession following his arrest in north London last October.
The 43-year-old has now had an indictment of being in charge of a vehicle while unfit through drugs added to his trial by the prosecution at Brent Magistrates' Court.
Michael did not attend the hearing, with his solicitor instead speaking on his behalf.
A new date for the star's trial is still to be set.
