Bollywood babe Shilpa Shetty will run next month’s London Marathon to raise money for charity, she’s revealed.
Shetty, who became a household name in the UK after winning the reality show ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, hopes to raise lots of cash for Water Aid. The Indian charity sets up sanitation facilities in poor areas.
The actress has been preparing for the gruelling race with a ladies team called Pimlico Plumbers.
”I'm excited but also nervous. I keep fit with dancing and working out but this is a big test. The Pimlico girls have been helping me with training,” Shetty says.
By running the marathon, Shetty follows in the footsteps of her rival ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ housemate Jade Goody. Hopefully Shilpa will fare better than Jade, who collapse while running the 2006 marathon.
