Angelina Jolie and her son Maddox arrived in Ho Chi Minh City airport late on Wednesday night and went to the Tam Binh Orphanage on Thursday where Jolie adopted a Vietnamese orphan. The 3-year-old's original name was Pham Quang Sang but Angelina and partner, Brad Pitt have chosen the name, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt for the newest addition to their family.
The Vietnamese boy is the fourth child to join the Jolie-Pitt clan. Ange filed the application for adopting the Vietnamese child as a single parent because she and Pitt are not married.
Adoption officials in Vietnam said following the adoption ceremony, Jolie will meet with US consular officials, who have to approve the adoption before a passport can be issued for the child. Officials say if the paperwork is straightforward, Jolie and Pitt could have their new child in New Orleans by the weekend.
