jessica simpson photo Pop tart Ashlee Simpson is said to be thrilled about her big sis Jessica Simpson’s relationship with John Mayer, saying he’s great for Jess following her divorce from Nick Lachey.

"Ashlee loves John. She thinks he is great for her. More importantly, Jess is happy," a friend of Ash’s told People magazine.

Jessica and John are said to have been dating for eight months, but initially denied reports they were an item.

j.lo photo A US Latin music chain has taken J.Lo’s latest CD off its shelves, saying the singer/actress has forgotten her roots.

Jennifer Lopez's new Spanish-language album, Como Ama Una Mujer (How A Woman Loves), was been banned from 50 50 Ritmo Latino shops after the diva failed to promote the CD in the music outlets.

Ritmo’s president David Massry said: "We've supported her from the beginning. Now we're told by her record company she will only visit Anglo retail outlets.

Michael Jackson's Not In Hospital, Says Rep

michael jackson photo Reports that Michael Jackson is in hospital with pneumonia have been dismissed by his spokesperson.
Raymone Bain said Jackson was at home recovering from a cold or the ‘flu’ and had not been to the hospital.
"He was a little under the weather when he returned from Europe," Bain said. "He probably had a bad cold or the ‘flu’. But he was never hospitalised."

The pop star says he’s shocked by the extremes his fans will go to just to get close to him, including hiding in his hotel room.

"I've had girls pop out of hotel closets. It scared the s**t out of me," he says.

Spears & Federline Reach Divorce Settlement

Britney Spears photo Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s divorce has been settled less than three years after the couple married.
The pop tart and wannabe rap star reached a settlement in a five-hour meeting in Los Angeles. Spears and Federline both attended the meeting.
"The parties signed a global settlement on all issues of their marriage and the custody of the children," a spokesman for K-Fed’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said.

Usher's Engagement Confirmed By Publicist

usher photo R&B superstar Usher Raymond is engaged to his long term girlfriend and stylist Tameka Foster, his publicist confirms.

Rumours the singer was set to wed started last month, with the 'The New York Post' quoting an insider as saying: "It's 100 percent official."

The couple were then said to have been hiding their relationship for over a year, but were ready to go public with their engagement.

kate hudson photo Filming was stopped for Kate Hudson’s new movie after a deadly jellyfish was spotted on set in Australia.
Hudson was shooting 'Fool’s Gold' with Matthew McConaughey in Queensland when an Irukandji jellyfish, described as one of the most deadly creatures alive, turned up.
"We have a marine expert to ensure everyone's safe and he found the jellyfish," Hudson's rep said.
"It's an unusual problem to come across. Only in Australia, I suppose."

michael jackson photo Troubled pop superstar Michael Jackson could face another legal battle after a woman claiming to be the biological mother of his three children filed legal papers against him for the third time.
Nona Paris Lola Jackson has requested visiting rights and child support in papers filed at the Los Angeles Superior court on March 27.
She also demanded Jacko’s Neverland ranch and other of his properties, although the singer would keep full custody of the kids.

The soul singer’s third album, Introducing Joss Stone, went straight to number two on the US Billboard chart.
It sold 118,000 copies in its first week.
