Sexy songstress Mariah Carey was shocked when she was approached by a Catholic priest at the recent opening of fashion store Pinko in London.
Pinko president Piero Negra flew his friend, Friar Nasr, to the UK to deliver a special message to the diva after she became the new face of the designer label.
"I handed her the prayer card of St Benedict. She looked pleased," the priest said.
Negra insists Catholicism was nothing to do with signing up Carey, whose mum is Catholic, to promote the brand.
"Religion is important to our family - we are all churchgoers. But we didn't ask Mariah to work for us for any religious reasons - business is business," he said.
