Dreamgirl Jennifer Hudson has revealed she was shocked when her co-star Eddie Murphy failed to win the Best Support Actor award at last weekend’s Oscars.
“I was very, very shocked. Very shocked,” she says, but insists “he’s still a winner”.
Adding his loss made Dreamgirls' cast and crew more “nervous” about winning the other awards they were up for.
“We were all like ‘Uh-oh. Oh, God.’ You know.”
Eddie is said to have stormed out of the ceremony after losing the award to Alan Arkin.
Hudson went on to win the Best Supporting Actress award.
