Janet Jackson Shoots First Movie In Seven Years

janet jackson vibe cover photoJanet Jackson is about to start work on her first movie in seven years, it's been revealed.

Jackson will star in a new movie with Tyler Perry called Why Did I Get Married?

The movie, based on Perry’s play of the same name, marks R&B diva Janet’s first big screen appearance since 2000’s Nutty Professor II: The Clumps with Eddie Murphy.

Why Did I Get Married? will be written, directed and produced by Perry. It follows his movies Diary Of A Mad Black Woman, Madea's Family Reunion and Daddy's Little Girls.

Filming will start next week in Canada, before moving to Atlanta, Georgia.
