Janet Jackson recently admitted she was shocked by the modern technological advances she saw when she walked into a supermarket. Janet, 40, relates a story when she was hanging with rapper Missy Elliott one night when the two had the munchies.
"It's so funny because I haven't set foot in a grocery store in years, you know. And that's so embarrassing," Janet revealed.
Contactmusic quoted the singer, as saying: "It was so late at night, and we went to the grocery store - this is when I still lived in Malibu - and ... I kept going, 'What's this?'"
"First of all I had the cart and I was riding down the aisles standing on it. And there's nobody there but us. And we got in the checkout. And I'm seeing this square thing, and I'm like, 'What's this you guys?' And Missy just looked at me. And they said, 'That's so you can use your credit card.'"
"And I said, 'You can use your credit cards in grocery stores now?' And Missy cracked up laughing. She thought it was the funniest thing. I didn't know!"

This is a stupid headline for this story. She is not out of touch with reality, going grocery shopping isn't a part of her life. She's part of a family who has been rich since she came to be. She is the baby after all. When is the last time you really think Janet Jackson went grocery shopping?

I think I've seen pictures of her on the internet carrying bags out of stores so she knows what a credit card machine is. But yeah if she doesn't do her own food shopping, she wouldn't know you can charge groceries.
