"Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light...those days are over..." Well, Police fans, Sting and Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland are back together again. They kicked off the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday night with a reunion that advertised their upcoming 30th anniversary tour.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are the Police and we're back!" Sting, 55, wearing his old punk 'do, shouted to start the show.
The Dixie Chicks won 5 grammys for "Taking the Long Way" including Album of the Year and Country Album of the Year.
Stand-out nominations included Record of the Year nods to Mary J. Blige for her single "Be Without You," while Beyonce picked up best contemporary R&B album, her only win from four nominations, and Gnarls Barkley continued their run of awards success winning Alternative Music Album and Urban/Alternative Performance.
Other winners on the night included Justin Timberlake, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Wolfmother, Ludacris and Tony Bennett.
