Snoop Dogg has pleaded innocent to possession of a deadly weapon charges.
The rapper did not attend the court hearing in near Los Angeles, with his plea being entered by his lawyer. He also requested a quick trial through his lawyer.
The 35-year-old was charged last year after a collapsible baton - classified as a deadly weapon - was found in his luggage as he boarded a flight at a Californian airport.
Snoop, real name Calvin Broadus, claimed the baton was a prop for a movie at the time.
Taking a collapsible baton on board a plane in the US carries a maximum jail sentence of three years.
