Singer Akon is such a massive star in his native Senegal that its President Abdoulaye Wade phone him to ask for his advice.
The 'Smack That' star gives the President his opinion on issues relating to young people, he has revealed.
"At the beginning, I didn't know what to say to him. But now I can sit and just go, 'Yo man, what do you think about this?'” Akon says.
"Right now, we're rebuilding the schools and the children's hospitals. Kids got to be healthy and they got to be smart. Bottom line."
