Gladiator Russell Crowe was knocked unconscious yesterday after being dumped by his horse on the set of his new cowboy movie "3.10 From Yuma" in New Mexico.
Globe magazine is reporting that Crowe was replaced by a stuntman who finished the actor's remaining horse-riding scenes for the day.
Crowe, who has been in the news recently because of French film critics slamming his cliche-ridden, life-is-good-in-Provence film "A Good Year", was not seriously injured.
He was luckier than stunt man Deryle Lujan who was seriously injured Monday, and his horse was killed, in another mishap on the movie set west of Santa Fe. The horse ran into a camera car, tossing Lujan to the ground. The horse broke its leg and had to be destroyed. According to local TV news in Sante Fe, the stuntman suffered broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder.
