Victoria Beckham recently told a friend that she has no intention of joining the Church of Scientology, despite her close friendship with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes: "There's no way I'd spend any money on that nonsense."
As a friend of the footballer's wife explained: "Scientology is an expensive religion; Victoria is too cheap to convert."
Victoria and her husband, David Beckham, are moving to California where he scored a $250 deal to promote soccer in the US and play for the Los Angeles Galaxy team. And Posh won't spend a dime of that fortune to secure her precious family from the evil clutches of Xenu - the space emperor feared by Scientologists.
"It's completely laughable that there's even talk of her becoming a Scientologist," a friend told the New York Daily News."Just because people are friends with someone doesn't mean they do everything they do. Scientology is like Kabbalah in that it's become all about money. Kabbala bracelets are now $28. It's a joke."
