Paul Sorvino has had to whack a few guys in the movies but things turned a little too real this month when the 67-year-old Goodfellas actor pulled a gun on his daughter's ex-boyfriend in order to protect her.
On Tuesday, Sorvino's daughter, Amanda, 36, testified in court that her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Snee, 21, pounded on her door and threatened to kill her at a hotel in Stowe, Vt., on January 3.
The Associate Press is reporting that Amanda Sorvino said she locked herself in the bathroom and called the police - and her dad. Her father showed up first and pulled a gun on Snee.
"He got in my father's face and said, 'Go ahead, Paul, shoot, I ain't done nothing wrong,' " Sorvino told a judge in Monroe County, N.Y.
The showdown ended peacefully when police arrived and arrested Snee for disorderly conduct, said Sorvino, who was granted a protection-from-abuse order against her ex.
Sorvino said that she and Snee met when he was hired to care for her horses, the AP reports. They began dating, but when the relationship soured, he began threatening her and her father "if he ever got in the way," she said.
Paul Sorvino, who was not in court Tuesday, is also the father of of Oscar-winning actress Mira Sorvino, 39.
