Lindsay Lohan Recovering After Emergency Surgery

Lindsay Lohan picLindsay Lohan is recovering in an LA hospital after having emergency surgery to remove her appendix yesterday. The 20-year-old Mean Girl was feeling ill on Wednesday and was diagnosed with appendicitis.

Her mouthpiece Leslie Sloane told People mag: "She does have appendicitis, and she is getting her appendix removed."

Hohan celebrated the New Year in Miami, Florida, where she was seen with ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama.

The star was hospitalized a couple of times last year for an asthma attack, dehydration and exhaustion and broke her wrist in September after a fall at a party in New York City.
