Jessica Simpson's daddy, Joe, was reportedly pissed off that his daughter turned down an offer of hosting Las Vegas club Pure’s New Year’s Eve party to spend time with her (boy)friend John Meyer.
Jess was offered the hosting job (which later went to Britney Spears), and a big paycheck, but chose love over work, saying she wanted to spend the end of 2006 out of the public eye.
On the evening, she was spotted partying around New Year, including at Christina Aguilera’s party at the Hudson Hotel where she was seen “full-on making out” with Meyer.
Joe is said to be annoyed that Jess turned the job and went partying anyway without getting paid like she would have for the Pure gig.
