Jennifer Aniston is 37 years old and single with no marriage prospects on the near horizon. The National Enquirer is reporting that the Friends star has decided she's running out of time, and has spent the past several weeks consulting adoption experts. She's looking for a newborn American baby girl - or two.
Insiders say Jen's painful breakup with Vince Vaughn, following so soon after her disastrous marriage to Brad Pitt, convinced her to take action without waiting for Mr. Right.
"She longs for a baby girl," revealed a close source. "But she's not intending to stop at one! Jen has decided on two of similar ages, and if the opportunity to take a boy comes first she'll wait for the girl."
Unlike her archrival Angelina Jolie, the "Friends" beauty insists there are plenty of needy orphans right in Los Angeles.
A source claiming to be close to the Hollywood actress told Grazia magazine: "Jen has thrown herself into adopting and wants it to happen straight away. She toyed with the idea while she was with Vince but began looking in December after they split."
Jen had previously been accused of not wanting to start a family and it was rumored to be one of the reasons that her marriage to Pitt failed.
However, she told Vanity Fair in 2005: "I've never in my life said I didn't want to have children. I did and I do and I will!"
