Jessica Simpson's romance with John Mayer is just a publicity stunt, The New York Post’s Page Six has claimed.
The ‘couple’ dined at South Beach’s Nobu on Monday night and were photographed arriving at and leaving the restaurant.
But what the cameras didn’t catch was the definite lack of romance between the two. They “barely spoke”, an onlooker at the restaurant has revealed. “John was extremely quiet and didn’t speak a lot. [Jessica] just gave a lot of puppy-dog looks and twirled and twisted her hair.”
Jess and John did hold hands for a little while, the onlooker added. But she left him alone at the table to spend nearly half an hour fixing “herself up for the cameras” which followed them back to the Four Seasons hotel.
Jess’s rep, Cindi Berger, has failed to comment on the rumours, saying: “I will not comment on her private life.”
