Fans of rock legend Jimi Hendrix are pissed off about plans to market an energy drink with the star’s image on.
The Liquid Experience drink, made by California-based Beverage Concepts, is due for release in April.
"To see his image and the beautiful feelings it has created in me cheapened by advertising is very disappointing," said Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Jimi’s image has also been licensed to adorn a whole range of products, including an air freshener, larva lamp and baby clothes.
Part of the profits from the energy drink will be donated to a music education foundation.
Hendrix died from a drugs overdose aged 27 in 1970.
