The driver Busta Rhymes allegedly assaulted before Christmas, says he was beaten up after trying to get paid so he could buy his daughter a present.
The rapper’s former driver, Eddie Hatchett, filed a complaint against Busta on December 26, following the incident in New York.
Hatchett, 39, says he went to the star’s office to collect 19 days worth of pay, but the pair started arguing before being attacked by Busta.
"I don't know what set him off," Hatchett said. "I told him, 'I ain't scared of you. That's when his bodyguards grabbed me, and he punched and kicked me."
Hatchett says he need the money because he couldn’t afford to buy his daughter a Christmas present.
"I didn't speak to my daughter for Christmas. I was embarrassed," he said.
"For me to come out of my community like that and work for him days in a row, nights, not seeing my family, and not getting paid, and for him to act like that - I'll never put myself in that position again," he said.
