Bam Margera - skateboarder extraordinaire, Jackass, and music producer - will wed his fiancée, Missy Rothstein, on MTV during an episode of "Bam's Unholy Union" which premieres tonight.
Iggy Pop and the Stooges will provide the music whenever the big event happens. The exact date and location for the ultimate Jackass wedding have not been revealed for fear of attracting unwanted attention from ex-girlfriends.
Bam, 27, and Missy, 26, got engaged a year ago yesterday, at the Cartier store at the King of Prussia mall in Pennsylvania near West Chester, where they're both from. They went to middle school and high school together until he dropped out on the first day of 10th grade. They still live in West Chester, living minutes from each other's family.
"Everything I need is in Pennsylvania," said Bam. And after construction is completed on a $100,000 skateboard ramp in their backyard, he may never have to leave.
"It's been quite an adjustment for me just because I'm a pretty private person," Missy said of appearing on the Unholy Union show. "The night before the first day we started filming, I woke him and I said, 'I can't do this. I changed my mind.'"
Now she seems resigned to her fate as she and Bam document their love on MTV. "Whatever happens, happens," she said. "I'd prefer [the attention] to be directed toward him. I'm kind of shy."
She thinks that she and Bam would beat the odds and have a lasting marriage: “We don’t live in Hollywood. It’s not two celebrities coming together, fighting over the spotlight. It’ll be a nice memory that, years from now, we can look back on, and we have the entire process documented.”
