Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith have no plans to become the latest celebrity recruits to the Church of Scientology, the ‘Fresh Prince’ star says.
The couple, who were guests at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ recent Scientology wedding service, have spoken to the religion’s most famous member about the faith – Will says.
“I’ve talked to Tom about it - [there’s] lots of incredible, wonderful concepts. [But] Jada and I don’t necessarily believe in organised religion,” he revealed.
Will added joining the Church would cause tension among his family, saying: “I was raised in a Baptist household and my grandmother would get up out of her casket [if I converted to Scientology].”
