Actor Will Smith has confirmed he is in negotiations to partner with retired basketball legend Julius Irving to buy his home town pro basketball team, the Philadelphia 76ers.

Smith confirmed, "We're looking into the purchase of the Sixers."
There's speculation that the deal could be completed by December 31 if the buy-out goes through.
