Black Eyed Peas star Will. i. am didn't believe that Michael Jackson was actually on the phone when the 'Thriller' singer first called him up. The singer is currently working with Michael on his comeback album but Will was dubious that he was even speaking to the eccentric superstar when they first talked about collaborating.
Will said: "Michael called me up and I thought someone was joking. I hear, 'Hello, its Michael.' And I was like, 'Yeah right, stop playing!'"
"Then he said, 'I want to congratulate you on all your success. Do you mind if I call you in a couple of days at 4pm?' Then he started ringing me everyday at 4pm. So I started working on music for him on the tour bus."
Michael approached Will in November about working together, saying that he was interested in a collaboration with Will: "I think he's doing wonderful, innovative, positive, great music."
The 'Bad' singer, who was cleared of child molestation charges last year, has not released a new studio album since 2001.
