Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire have had a lawsuit against them, about a movie they made before they were famous, dismissed by a Los Angeles judge.
The suit claimed the actors conspired to block distribution of the black-and-white movie ‘Don’s Plum’, which they filmed in 1995 and 1996.
The low-budget movie, which was filmed before Leo’s breakthrough role ‘Titanic’ and Tobey’s ‘Spider-Man’, is about a group of L.A teens who meet at a diner every day to talk about their lives.
The lawsuit claimed offers from distributors "disappeared overnight" after the stars "put the word out that they were opposed to any distribution" of the film.
But the suit, brought by producer John Schindler in December 2004, was dismissed by Superior Court Judge Mary Ann Murphy on Thursday.
Tobey and Leo’s lawyer, John Lavely, said the film actual producer was David Stutman, who sued the pair and settled with them in September 1999.
