Singer Lionel Richie is apparently fed up with daughter Nicole Richie's pot abuse problems and has disclosed to friends that doing a little time in jail might knock some sense into her.
"Lionel's stood behind Nicole through three arrests, drug rehab and her drastic weight loss," a family friend told The National Enquirer. "But enough is enough!"
Lionel held an intervention with his pot-smoking daughter last October, begging her to get treatment, said the friend. "But all she agreed to was some outpatient medical tests. Lionel was incredibly disappointed."
The Simple Life was arrested again on December 11 after driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway.
"When he heard of her latest arrest, he said to a friend: 'Let her go to jail. It might do her some good," the source said. "Maybe it will frighten some sense into her.'"
