Mel B has vowed to take Eddie Murphy “to the cleaners” and has hired a top Hollywood lawyer in her paternity battle against the actor.
The feisty former Spice Girls star, who was dumped by Eddie during a TV interview, has enlisted celebrity lawyer Don Engel to get revenge.
"Mel is refusing to lie down and let Eddie walk all over her - and this is reflected in her choice of lawyer. She wants to hit him where it hurt the most - in the pocket. They don't come much better than Don," a source told the ‘Daily Mirror’ newspaper.
It’s estimated the star, whose real name is Melanie Brown, could get around $30,000 in lifelong payments for her unborn child if it’s proved Eddie is the daddy.
"Don's services don't come cheap but he one of the best lawyers around. Most lawyers would relish taking on an A-list star and Don will surely be no exception,” the source added.
"This is a war and if Eddie doesn't know it, he will very shortly."
