Mary J. Blige tops this year's Grammy Award nominations, scoring eight nods for her critically acclaimed CD, The Breakthrough, including for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Mary J was also the big winner at the Billboard Music Awards on Monday where she wone nine awards, including R&B/Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, female R&B artist of the year, and R&B/Hip-Hop album of the year
The Red Hot Chili Peppers scored six nominations for "Stadium Arcadium," reports E! Online.
Several artists received five nominations, including the Dixie Chicks for "Taking the Long Way," which is up for best country record even though it was ignored by country radio. Prince received five nominations for "3121.".
Justin Timberlake's Sexy Back got four nominations, and Beyonce won four nods for B-Day.
The 49th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast on February 11.
