Kanye West is being sued by daredevil Evel Knievelfor recreating one of his stunts in the music video for Touch The Sky’.
The 68-year-old stuntman says the video, which features Kayne jumping across in a canyon in a rocket-powered vehicle, infringes copyright and tarnishes his image with its "vulgar, sexual" nature.
In ‘Touch The Sky,’ Kanye is renamed Evel Kanyevel and wears a jumpsuit similar to the stuntman’s. The video parodies the daredevil’s attempt to jump Snake River Canyon in Idaho in 1974.
Knievel is seeking damages and a halt to the video’s distribution. The video’s director Chris Milk and Kanye’s record label Roc-A-Fella are also named in the suit.
"The guy just went too far using me to promote his filth to the world," Knievel says. "What a cheap shot. What a cheap, two-bit shot."
Kanye’s rep has failed to comment.
