Jude Law says that his divorce from Sadie Frost cost him just about every penny he makes. The 33-year old nanny-shtoinking actor says he is continually broke because of the huge financial demands of ex-wife Sadie Frost, 41, the mother of his 3 kids.
Asked what was the worst thing in his life to date, Law said: "My divorce! I lost everything in order to get the right to visit my children. My bank account is therefore almost always empty! But I don't have a single regret."
"My children's happiness is the only thing that is important to me. I've just had two very difficult years, and I battened down the hatches to pay the bills.
"I'm not Brad Pitt. I don't earn 20 million dollars a film, nothing like that. I'd be happy to do one film a year for that kind of money.
Since my divorce, I've started a new existence. More simple, more sober, and more discreet."
Frost was granted a divorce from Law in October 2003 citing "unreasonable behaviour" on his part. She got the $2 million house in north London's posh Primrose Hill area, as well as $4 million in cash, support of $15,000 a month, and a share of Law's future earnings.
