Actor Eddie Murphy has reportedly broken up with girlfriend Mel B and is demanding a DNA test to prove he is the father of her unborn child. The actor dropped the bomb in an interview with a Dutch TV show to promote his film Dreamgirls.
When asked if he was happy with Mel B, Murphy snapped back: "You're being presumptuous, because we're not together anymore. And I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir."
The pair started dating in June, just two months after Murphy divorced his wife of seven years. In September, Murphy announced that "I am madly in love with Mel - but there are no wedding plans."
Everything has been looking good, even up until last Sunday when Mel told an interviewer, "We're in love and get on really well. All the children have met and get on too - it's like a great big happy family. I can't wait to spend Christmas with him and I can't wait to have this baby."
The singer is thought to be five months' pregnant with his child. She has a seven-year-old daughter from her previous marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar. Murphy has seven children.
