Peter Boyle, the dad from hit show ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’, has died aged 71.
The actor died in a New York hospital on Tuesday. He had been suffering from cancer of the bone marrow and heart disease.
Boyle shot to fame in 1974 spoof horror movie ‘Young Frankenstein’ and went onto star in ‘Malcolm X’, ‘Taxi Driver’ and ‘Monster’s Ball’. His most recent movie was ‘The Santa Clause Three’.
In 1996, he won an Emmy for a cameo role on ‘The X Files’. The same year, he made his debut in ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ as Frank Barone.
