Angelina Jolie has spoken out publicly about her relationship with Brad Pitt, saying although she fell in love with the actor while he was still married to Jennifer Aniston, nothing happened between them until his marriage ended.
Brad and Angelina were first said to have gotten close during the filming of their movie Mr and Mrs Smith, but Jolie insists they were just pals at the time, although they did form a very close friendship.
"We ended up being brought together to do all these crazy things, and I think we found this strange, friendship and partnership that kind of just suddenly happened," she said.
"It took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realise that it might mean something more than we'd earlier allowed ourselves to believe."
Angelina adds that it took the pair a "long time" for them to decide to start a relationship.
"Then life developed in a way where we could be together, where it felt like something we would do, we should do," she says.
