jessica simpson photo Dolly Parton has defended Jessica Simpson’s chaotic performance of her hit ‘9 to 5’ at the Kennedy Center Honors recently.

Jess left the stage in floods of tears after a bad performance of the track, that’s been blamed on a faulty dress, but Dolly has offered her comfort, saying she completely understands how performing in front of her and George W Bush would have made Jess nervous.

paris hilton photo Paris Hilton has denied reports that she’s engaged to her on-off boyfriend Stavros Niarchos.

The heiress was recently spotted wearing a sparkling diamond ring on her engagement finger in Los Angeles last week, sparking rumours she is to wed.

Paris’ publicist, Elliot Mintz, has blasted the reports saying: : “Paris is not engaged. She does wear rings on different hands and fingers and depending on what’s comfortable, but she is not engaged.”

The pop tart wore the white strapless gown when she walked down the aisle with Kevin Federline in September 2004, but now the pair are divorcing she’s hoping to “clean out my closets in order to re-start my life”.

kate winslet photo Curvaceous actress Kate Winslet has blasted the trend for female stars and models to slim down to a tiny ‘size zero’ as "unbelievably disturbing".

"What I resent is that there is an image of perfection that is getting thinner and thinner," the 31-year-old star of ‘Titantic’ says.

She says she’s even banned magazines from her house to stop them having a damaging effect on her six-year-old daughter, Mia.
