U2 are “relieved” to have won a legal case against their ex-stylist, over a cowboy hat and clothing she took from them nearly 20 years ago.
The rock band’s front man Bono told Dublin's High Court last month that Lola Cashman had stolen the items, estimated to be worth 5,000 euros, from them during their ‘Joshua Tree’ tour.
Cashman insisted the band gave the items to her as a gift and appealed against a ruling that she must return them to the band.
"Proceedings were issued in Ireland very much as a last resort and with great reluctance," U2 say.
They add they wish Cashman “well in the future” and they would not be pursing costs from her, although they would be entitled to.
