Rap star Snoop Dogg has been charged with possession of a deadly weapon.
The charges stem from an incident at a California airport in September, when a collapsible truncheon was found in the rapper’s luggage as he boarded a flight to New York in September. Snoop insisted at the time that 20 inch baton was a prop for a movie. If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison.
But it isn’t his only legal worry. A arrest warrant has been issued for Snoop, real name is Calvin Broadus, after he was charged with gun and drug possession after being arrested after another California airport.
"He either turns himself in or he gets picked up by law enforcement," a spokesperson for the Orange County District Attorney's Office said.
But the hip hop star’s lawyer insists: "These charges are bogus. The District Attorney knows that. If this goes to trial, we will win."
35-year-old Snoop was in Copenhagen last night to MTV Europe Music Awards.
