Ryan Phillippe has spoken out about the rumours surrounding his split from wife Reese Witherspoon, saying he’s "not guilty of a lot of things" he has been accused of.
The Hollywood couple shocked everyone when they announced they were splitting after seven years of marriage and having two children together.
The reason behind the split hasn’t been announced but tabloids have reported that 32-year-old Ryan cheated on Reese with actress Abbie Cornish, his co-star in ‘Stop Loss’. Abbie has denied the reports.
Ryan has responded to such rumours for the first time since the split, saying: "I'm not a perfect person, but I'm not guilty of a lot of the things I have been accused of. My priority is and always has been the health and safety of my family."
Another rumour is the cause of the split was that Reese was unhappy with Phillippe’s parting. To which his rep says: "Look, he went out, she went out, it wasn't a point of conflict."
