Reese Witherspoon has filed for divorce from her husband of seven years Ryan Phillippe, nine days after the Hollywood couple announced they had split.
Reese has sought custody of their two children, sole use of the family home and requested that Ryan be denied spousal support in documents filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
She has requested that Ryan be granted rights to visit their kids, 7-year-old daughter Ava and 3-year-old son Deacon.
"We are saddened to announce that Reese and Ryan have decided to formally separate," Ryan and Reese’s reps said through a joint statement last week. "They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time."
